This microscope is ideal for biological studies by students and adults. It is built to high optical and mechanical standards and designed to withstand daily classroom and laboratory use with minimum maintenance. It is also suitable for biological education and research purchase at home.

This instrument can be used as an inspection or dissection scope at 40x magnification, when looking at larger, opaque specimens. It also features the compound microscope and uses transmitted light for a user to magnify transparent specimens with a wide range of magnifications.

Main Features of the Microscope:


Magnification (with the eyepieces and Barlow supplied): 40x, 64x, 100x, 160x, 400x, 640x, and up to 1024x.

Metal body and focus system: durable for frequent use either in a school laboratory or at home.

Achromatic objective lenses: 3 lenses in metal barrels, built with high quality optical glass with 4x, 10x and 40x power; 360 degree rotatable, and 45 degree inclined for convenient observation with comfortable head posture.

Eyepiece/ocular lens: WF10x and WF16x magnifications, with wide field of view. It produces the greatest field of view when looking at specimens.

Barlow: adjustable up to 1.6x

Illumination: top and bottom LED lights which are mains powered (AC-DC adaptor with UK 3-pin plug is included).

Disk diaphragm: with 6 glass colour filters.

Focusing: coarse focus adjustment knobs.
