This is a vintage C Baker microscope which was made by C Baker, London in mid 1950s, with product serial number 40990. The microscope is in good working order both mechanically and optically, and it is highly collectable.

  • Four rotatable objective positions with three objectives: x40 (0.65), x20 (f7.5mm, NA. 0.40), x10 (N.A. 0.25, 2/3") and one spare position with a cap.

  • Eyepieces: three eyepieces included, marked with x7, x8 and x10

  • Dual focus system: Rack & pinion main focus wheels, and fine focus knobs.

  • Extending draw tube to accommodate the image focus of various objectives and eyepieces

  • Slide clips above the square stage

  • Sub-stage with an "Abbe" type condenser, lever operated iris diaphragm

  • Rotatable plano-concave mirror.

  • Solid metal construction

  • The stand can be reclined horizontally for photography

  • Microscope weight: approx. 6kg (13 lb.) (9kg/19.8 lb. including hard carry case)

  • Comes in a solid lockable wooden carry case (no key): 37cm (L) x 25cm (W) x 16cm (H)

Note: The microscope is in good working condition both mechanically and optically. Wear and tear to the metal surface and to the hard carry case appropriate with age. Some metal corners and the four rubber feet of the hard carry case have been replaced.
